Beniamino Bufano “PEACE” obelisk featuring mosaic inlay rendered by Alfonso Pardiñas and Byzantine Mosaics. In this photo the obelisk still marked the entrance to San Francisco International Airport. The obelisk can currently be viewed on Brotherhood Way in San Francisco. It was moved during airport renovations and was never moved back. Description (which fails to credit mosaic work) HERE.
